High scoring curling

The older you get the kinder - or so I believed until the morning of Nov. 13 when I went to the Northland Power Curling Centre and saw three teams nearly go off the board on their opponents.

Count 'em Doug Belyk's rink looked to steal six in New Horizons curling last week.

The older you get the kinder - or so I believed until the morning of Nov. 13 when I went to the Northland Power Curling Centre and saw three teams nearly go off the board on their opponents.I looked and one game was ten to one, and then just beside them Doug Belyk was stealing six.It was John MacFarlane skipping the Scott rink that had the ten.Rod Forester wasn't much better until he gave up five on the final end.So chalk up Scott, Belyk and Forester with the morning wins.

In the afternoon there was nothing exciting reported other than the four winners were Krismer, Horrell, Wisner and Hagen.

That leaves Rod Forester out all by himself with no losses this fall. Well maybe not by himself, because he has Tom Foster, Wally Bayne and Joe Schmidt who do the work on the team.
