HUMBOLDT, WILCOX — The Humboldt Broncos won their first outing of the season against the Notre Dame Hounds.
At the Sept. 24 game in Wilcox, the Broncos won 5-1.
Alec Saretzky of the Broncos scored the first goal of the game with 19:29 on the clock in the first period, assisted by Matthew Perkins and Logan Kurki during a power play.
The Broncos' Braiden Koran then scored early in the second period with help with Reilly Mckinnon and Noah Barlage.
Landon Peterson of the Hounds, with an assist from Dane Probe, took advantage of a power play to score their only goal of the game.
Lucas Ceccarelli of the Broncos then scored the last goal of the second periods with assists from Justin Keck and Nicksha Eric.
In the third period, Connor McGrath score the Broncos final two goals, the first with help from Braiden Koran, and the second with assists from Logan Kurki and Cody Hough.
Rayce Ramsay stopped 30 of 31 shots from going into the Broncos' net, while Joe Kuchaslo of the Hounds stopped 35 out of 40.
The two teams face off against each other tomorrow in Humboldt at 7:30 p.m.
