Fans of the Battlefords North Stars will have an opportunity to congratulate this year's Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League champions Friday afternoon.
After returning from Flin Flon early Thursday morning, the team will be holding a Championship Celebration from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Civic Centre.
The Canalta Cup will be on hand for photos and the North Stars players will be signing autographs during the event.
The team captured their second league title and first in 17 years Wednesday with a 6-5 win in Game 4 over the Flin Flon Bombers to cap off an undefeated playoff run.
They will return to the ice early next week in advance of the Western Canada Cup tournament in Penticton, B.C.
