Josh Daley played a total of 56 regular season games with the Battlefords North Stars, but will get a fresh start in Dauphin as he was traded Monday night. Daley made a comment earlier this week that he needs to look at it as a good thing and keep working hard. The trade could be a positive thing for both sides and only time will tell.

After a 0-4-1-1, the North Stars players expected changes to the roster, as Ken Pearson continues to look for a winning combination and Tuesday a deal was made official.

Josh Daley, a 20-year-old forward in his second season in the Battlefords, is moving from the SJHL to the MJHL.

Daley was dealt to the Dauphin Kings for 20-year-old forward Keith Grondin and 18-year-old forward Brandon Esposito. Daley had three assists in six games while centering the North Stars' second line this season. Last year, Daley was third on the team in points with 23 goals and 27 assists in 50 games.

Grondin leaves Dauphin with one goal in nine gamesthis season. Last year, he notched 27 points in 30 games with Steinbach. Esposito hasn't played a game with Dauphin this season.

Upon Grondin's arrival, he will become the 26th player to suit up for the North Stars this season and Graham Hildebrand and Boyd Wakelin haven't yet played a game due to injuries and are on the 25-man roster.
