KERROBERT --The West Central Wheat Kings played twice over the Nov. 16 weekend, dropping both games.
They first suffered a 4-2 defeat against to the Saskatoon Sabrecats. Wheat Kings' forwards Tyce Perkins and Carson Kraft both scored during the game. Kaine Thiessen assisted on both goals, with captain Chase Weinkauf assisting on Kraft's goal. Goalie Drake Chester stopped 37 shots for the Wheat Kings.
The Wheat Kings then hosted the North East Wolfpack in Kerrobert Nov. 17, losing 5-1. Nash Sperle had the lone goal, and Noah Gumpinger stopped 43 shots for the Wheat Kings, putting his best efforts towards a win for the now 6-5-0 Wheat Kings.
They continue their season looking to bounce back over the Nov. 23 weekend in Unity. The Wheat Kings will be playing the Parkland Elks and the Prince Albert Lake Country Timberwolves, with hopes to claim back-to-back wins.
