My name is Jay Staples and I live in Edam.
My next door neighbour rang my doorbell recently. She had Regional Optimist in her hand and said she wanted to let me know about an article in it. The article said someone named Todd Jason Staples had been arrested on child pornography charges. I can assure you all that this is not me. The article says that he was born Feb. 23, 1984 and is from Pierceland. I am Jason William Staples, born May 31, 1971, from Edmonton.
My neighbour is worried, and rightly so, about what my tiny little village will think when they hear this. I have been here for five years, and I haven't made any friends here. I don't fit in here. I kind of look like a biker, although I'm not one. Just because I look like a creep doesn't mean I am one. I just want people to know I'm not that guy.
I have never been arrested for anything, certainly not the disgusting things this guy has been charged with.
