Man tries to stab someone with a pen in Prince Albert

PRINCE ALBERT - A man was arrested and faces charges relating to assault after the Prince Albert Police Service responded to a disturbance call Saturday night.

On Dec. 21 at approximately 7:50 p.m., police were called to the 600 block of Marquis Road East for a report of a disturbance.

Further updates stated a male was inside a hospitality business yelling and screaming.

Arriving officers located the man in the custody of security staff; he resisted arrest, but was arrested shortly after.

Throughout the man's encounter with police, he continually resisted police officers.

Upon further investigation, officers learned that prior to police arrival, it is believed the man attempted to stab someone with a pen.

As a result, a 33-year-old man is facing charges relating to assault with a weapon, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, and breaching court-ordered conditions.
