RCMP search for suspect following suspicious fire

On Dec. 16, 2024, at approximately 12 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a structure fire at a permanently-closed service station on Highway 3, west of Prince Albert.

PRINCE ALBERT AREA - Prince Albert RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a suspicious fire.

On Dec. 16, 2024, at approximately 12 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a structure fire at a permanently-closed service station on Highway 3, west of Prince Albert.

Buckland Fire and Rescue responded to the fire, which caused significant damage to the building. Prince Albert RCMP assisted at the scene.

The investigation determined the fire had been deliberately set. Prince Albert RCMP obtained video surveillance of a suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating them. Photos of the suspect are shown.

Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of fire investigators from the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency.
