Woman located deceased following fire in Prince Albert

At approximately 4 p.m. on April 20, the Prince Albert Police Service, the Prince Albert Fire Department (PAFD), and Parkland Ambulance responded to a structure fire in the 400 block of 19th Street East.

PRINCE ALBERT - The public advisory for the 400 block of 19th Street East has now been lifted and police are no longer on scene following a fire in Prince Albert.

At approximately 4 p.m. on April 20, the Prince Albert Police Service, the Prince Albert Fire Department (PAFD), and Parkland Ambulance responded to a structure fire in the 400 block of 19th Street East.

Upon arrival, a 30-year-old woman was located inside the residence and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service Forensic Identification Section (FIS) and Major Crimes Unit (MCU) attended the scene to investigate alongside a PAFD Fire Inspector.

As a result of initial investigation, the death is not considered to be suspicious.

The Prince Albert Police Service will continue to work with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Office.

An autopsy is scheduled for April 22.
