SASKATOON - Members of the Guns and Gangs Unit have concluded an investigation into a dial-a-dope drug trafficking operation with the arrests of two men.
On April 2 at around 12 p.m., members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Crime Reduction Team and Tactical Support Unit, arrested two men, age 26 and 30, at a business in the 1500 block of 8th Street East. They are facing a combined total of eight charges relating to drug trafficking and proceeds of crime.
Following their arrests, a search warrant was then executed at a residence in the 300 block of Avenue U South where two women and three men were also arrested on a combined total of 17 unrelated criminal code warrants. Police also searched two vehicles. As a result of the investigation, officers seized;
- More than $1,200 CAD
- 42 grams of crack cocaine
- 13.5 grams of brown fentanyl
- 7.5 grams of soft cocaine
- Cell phones (x6)
- Assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking
