SASKATOON — From Nov. 29 to Dec. 31, the host organizations in Prince Albert, Saskatoon and the Battlefords, will be offering their safe ride service, once again reinforcing the community spirit that characterizes this initiative.
The 16th annual Saskatchewan Operation Red Nose safe ride campaign was launched Nov. 14 in Saskatoon.
True to its mission of safety and solidarity, this free volunteer service has enabled millions of people to get home safe during the holiday season over the past few decades.
In Canada, nearly 70 local host organizations will deploy the annual campaign in seven provinces.
Memorable Evenings for Volunteers
By calling on Operation Red Nose and its volunteers, you can enjoy a ride home that is both fun and safe. In addition, the campaign allows you to support local youth or amateur sport organizations, since all donations are turned over to such organizations.
Visit www.operationrednose.com to obtain information or to register as a volunteer. Local dates and hours of operation, as well as other useful details, are also available on the website or via the Red Nose mobile app.
The Power of Volunteering
“As Operation Red Nose begins its 41st annual campaign in the country, the importance of our mission remains clear,” says Jean-Marie De Koninck, Founding President of Operation Red Nose.
“And without the unwavering commitment of our volunteers, the true pillars of our organization, that mission could not be fulfilled. Together, we play a crucial role in improving road safety, year after year, by providing a safe ride service that saves lives and raises awareness on the dangers of impaired driving”
SGI : Committed to Road Safety
SGI is a provincial sponsor of Operation Red Nose.
“SGI is proud to partner with Operation Red Nose to help Saskatchewan drivers get home safe again this year,” said JP Cullen, chief operating officer at SGI.
“Finding a safe ride home is a team effort and the volunteers who keep this program going every year take that to the next level. Their hard work helps people enjoy the holidays and get home safe, and that’s a win for everyone.”
