Police seize methamphetamine, homemade conducted energy weapon

Shortly before 3 p.m., Feb. 18, patrol officers responded to a motel in the 1400 block of 22nd Street West after it was reported a man was armed with a CEW in the lobby.

SASKATOON - A man is facing weapons charges after being found in possession of a homemade conducted energy weapon (CEW) and bear spray in the city.

Shortly before 3 p.m., Feb. 18, patrol officers responded to a motel in the 1400 block of 22nd Street West after it was reported a man was armed with a CEW in the lobby. Upon arrival, officers located the man and found him to be in possession of a homemade CEW and bear spray. Upon his arrival at Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Detention, the man was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. 

The 41-year-old man is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon (x2), carry concealed weapon (x2), prohibited possession of weapon, and possession of methamphetamine.
