SASKATOON - A man and two women are facing approximately 20 charges following an incident where a driver evaded police in Saskatoon.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., Dec. 2, an officer on duty attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a white GMC Sierra truck at 29 Street and Avenue O north. The driver refused to stop and following a short pursuit, additional officers located the vehicle parked in a driveway in the 800 block of 3 Street East. The driver then rammed a police vehicle, which had pulled in behind the truck, before attempting to flee on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
The male driver, age 23 and two female passengers, age 27 and 29, were taken into custody. The vehicle was determined to be stolen and a search of it resulted in a loaded, sawed-off shotgun being located.
The three are facing charges including possession of stolen property, evade police, possession of methamphetamine and firearm-related charges.
