SASKATOON - Saskatoon police responded after bear spray was discharged inside a mall in Saskatoon yesterday afternoon.
Shortly before 5 p.m., Jan. 13, patrol officers responded to a mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South after reports that bear spray had been discharged in the food court following a verbal confrontation between two groups of youth. Two security officers had attempted to stop the groups however were bear sprayed in the process.
The youths were reported to be wearing face coverings and hoods, and fled prior to police arrival.
