SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested an individual wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for homicide.
On Jan. 31, members of the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) were assisting an outside agency in the execution of a search warrant at an apartment in the 10 block of Assiniboine Drive in Saskatoon.
As a result of the search warrant, a 30-year-old man was arrested and found to have an outstanding Canada-wide warrant for a 2021 homicide investigation from Toronto, Ont.
Arrangements are being made to return the accused, Jabreel Elmi, to Toronto, Ont.
No additional charges were laid by the SPS as a result of the search warrant.
