SASKATOON - A woman was taken to hospital yesterday after being struck by a City bus in Saskatoon.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., Jan. 27, Saskatoon Police Service officers were dispatched to Louise Avenue and 8th Street East for a collision.
Police learned that an individual stepped off the sidewalk into the driving lane of the bus, resulting in her being struck by a City Transit bus.
The victim reportedly left the scene but was located by officers in the 1400 block of Main Street.
She was suffering from non-life threatening injuries and was assessed by paramedics before being transported to hospital.
At the time of the collision, she was believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant.
The 18-year-old woman was issued a ticket for walking into the path of a vehicle when unsafe.
