Unity Cardinal season tickets were available for $12, and provided admission to 16 regularly scheduled home games.
Under the headline: “Lady named assistant mrg. of Unity bank,” it was announced Mrs. Dorothy Whiting had been appointed assistant manager of the Bank of Montreal branch in Unity.
The Macklin Lakeside Boy Scout troops cleaned up 30 miles of highway between the Alberta border and Unity.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation Big Bike made a stop in Unity. Local organizer Shelly Gerein said close to $3,000 was raised by the 29 volunteers who signed up to peddle around town.
From the classifieds: local rental units available included a two-bedroom house with two-car garage for $350 a month and apartment suites starting at $275.
Although the Senior Cardinals were taking a year off due to a lack of committed players, Unity was fielding a senior ladies’ team. Brent O’Donnell and Glen Heitt were coaching the Unity Rustlers, playing in the North Battleford Ladies’ Fastball League.
