Cut Knife Report March 31 – April 6
Cut Knife RCMP received 87 calls for service between March 31 to April 6. These files included well-being checks, reports of disturbances, reports of traffic offences, mischief, assaults, assault with weapons/ causing bodily harm, breaches of peace, discharge fire arms while being reckless, fail to comply with conditions, Mental Health Acts, impaired driving complaints, pursuits, road side suspension alcohol and drug related, suspicious person, trafficking methamphetamine, and assisting other agencies.

On April 1, members responded to a call regarding a gun in an open area of a vehicle. Members attended and found two vehicles at the scene, one vehicle fled from members. Later, the Unity RCMP responded to a call regarding a suspicious person who got his car stuck and was walking through the yards, hiding in trees and shooting things. The vehicle matched the description that fled on members. Cut Knife RCMP assisted in locating the suspect and arrested a 44-year-old male and was held for court on various firearms and driving charges.
On April 2, members received a complaint regarding a West Jet e-gift card. The complainant purchased a gift card for $400, and when they tried using it, it had already been used. This matter is still under investigation.
On April 2, members responded to an assault at Country Roads that occurred the previous night. The victim sought medical attention but later declined to provide a statement regarding the attack.
On April 5, members received a 911 hang-up from an unknown male, who stated he was assaulted with a bottle and walking away. Members patrolled the area and located a 36-year-old individual with blood and bruises. Medical attention was declined by the individual and they did not provide any statement for the police investigation.
A 35-year-old individual was charged with 911 misuse. A couple of calls were made to 911 for non-emergencies warnings, individual was issued for misuse of 911 previously.
Twenty-eight traffic stops were made, resulting in speeding tickets, warnings, roadside suspensions, alcohol and drug related.
Members responded to two alarms.

Cut Knife Report April 7 - 13
Cut Knife RCMP received 75 calls for service between April 7 to 13. These files included well-being checks, reports of disturbances, reports of traffic offences, mischief, assaults, assault with weapons, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, Mental Health Acts, fires, theft of vehicles, Excise Act, suspicious persons, animal calls and assisting other agencies. On April 9, members responded to a call regarding assault with a weapon. Members found two individuals; one of them were bleeding. EMS transported the 28-year-old male victim to the hospital for stitches and the 25-year-old female was arrested and charged.
Members responded to a call, a 43-year-old individual was intoxicated and trying to fight people at the bar in Cut Knife. Members arrested the individual for breach of peace. Members observed unstamped cigarettes in her possession and she was charged for same.
Members responded to a call regarding a 41-year-old female missing out of North Battleford, who was later located in the Cut Knife area. Thank you to the public for the assistance.
Members issued a couple of warnings under the All Terrain Vehicles Act.
- Operate an ATV on the traveled portion of a highway
- Operate an ATV at night without using lights x2
- Operate an ATV without holding a valid driver's license x2
- Operator of an ATV fails to wear an approved helmet and eye protection

RCMP Members and staff attended the collective youth center fundraiser Wild West supper.
Cst. Monfort was a part of the Poundmaker Cree Nation soccer team and went to Regina, to participate in an indoor soccer tournament, the Regina World Cup! Poundmaker placed second in their division, narrowly losing out to Team Jamaica 1-0! Way to go!!
