UNITY — Though the weather presented a dreary day, it was bright and exciting at the Unity curling rink as the Gord Bamford tour bus arrived April 9.
The Bamford road team along with Unity Kin Club volunteers were on hand to set up the arena for the night's sold-out concert hosted in partnership with the Kin Club and the town of Unity.
The rink was a flurry of activity setting up all the areas of the rink for the evening's events, with Bamford team members and Kin Club volunteers working hand-in-hand looking efficient in their efforts.
Gord Bamford is a decorated Canadian country music artist, with 26 Canadian Country Music Association awards and multiple Juno award nominations. Bamford also is a two-time winner of the CMA Global Country Artist award.
Bamford is also known for his philanthropy. The opening act for the sold-out show will be Canadian country music songwriter and performer Ryan Lindsay.
