Jake Vaadeland and band to stop in Luseland for unforgettable evening

Luseland Arts Council are pleased to welcome Jake Vaadeland and the Sturgeon River Boys to the stage in April.

Jake Vaadeland and the Sturgeon River Boys will be playing at the Luseland Homecoming Hall April 12 at 7:30 p.m.

LUSELAND -- Jake Vaadeland is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Cut Knife Saskatchewan, with a traditional sound and unique style that blends Bluegrass and 50s Rockabilly. He specializes in guitar and banjo while focusing on storytelling and relatable messages through his music and performances alongside The Sturgeon River Boys.

He has received multiple awards including, Roots/Folk Artist of the Year and Album of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards in 2022 and 2023, and Fans Choice Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Alternative Country Album of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards in 2022. His album Retro Man finished second in fan voting for Album of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards in 2021.

Vaadeland and his band have been creating a name for themselves and booking in with some major music events around the world. The group is slated to play at the British Country Music Festival in the United Kingdom and the Tønder Festival in Denmark on top of the many Canadian festivals and tours over the 2024 summer months.

Vaadeland will be performing with The Sturgeon River Boys at the Luseland Homecoming Hall on April 12 at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are available from Jean Halliday at 306-372-4869 for $25 and will be available at the door for $30.
