Senlac included in $13M funding for rural Sask. highway improvements

The RM of Senlac was on the list as a recipient of $13M in funding distributed for the Rural Integrated Roads for Growth Program.

SENLAC —  Thirty-four municipalities and 24 projects will share #13 million in funding for highway improvements through the Rural Integrated Roads for Growth Program according to a July 11 Government of Saskatchewan media release.

RM of Senlac No. 411 is receiving $500,000 for earthwork and grading.

“The RIRG program has been a successful partnership program with the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities for many years. These investments in rural communities promote growth and prioritize the safety and quality of roads and bridges in rural Saskatchewan," was part of the statement in the official government of Saskatchewan release on the  funding.

The financial support provided helps local industries including agriculture, energy, and forestry. The program grant covers up to 50 per cent of each project’s total cost, to a maximum of $500,000.
