The family of Mrs. Alice Toth, beloved wife of the late Michael Toth, of the Rockford District, sadly announce her passing on Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was 95 years of age. Alice was born on June 18,1929 to Margaret and Peter Fialkowski. She grew up on the family farm in the Rockford area. After her education, she went to work in Runnymede and Kamsack helping in cafés. She then ventured out to Esterhazy to work in the hospital, where she learned many skills. She met her husband, Mike Toth and in 1952 they were married in Esterhazy, where they ran a Texaco Service Station. They moved back to the Rockford area where they lived their lives together and raised their three children, Ken, Murray and Bev. They loved children so much they also took on being foster parents. Their first two foster children were Vicky and Colin Pratt, who became a great addition to our family. Vicky was Mom’s “Crafty Girl” and Mom would say, “That’s my Boy”, when talking about Colin. Mom had so much love for all her children and 12 grandchildren, Brenda (Shane) Gagnon, Darla (Jeremy) Schmidt, Clint (Cheryl) Toth, Lonnie (Jen) Kaminski, Dustin Toth, Tracey (Tim+) Werner, Kelley Wog, Janine (Mitchell) Nelson and Rayne (Reece) Chorneyko, Jesse (Lindsay) Pratt, Riley Pratt and JR (Chris) Mills. Alice was also blessed with 20 Great Grandchildren, Anthony (Charly), Tasha, Shawna, Josh, Cash, Cruz, Marissa, Ava, Zander, Scarlett, Taylor, Trayton, Kristopher, Alexia, Braxton, Jacob, Ryan, Reegan, Renee and Nixon. Alice enjoyed life and she taught all her children to be good people, to always help others and to make good choices. She loved the outdoors, her animals, gardening, and keeping her yard and flowers immaculate. She was an amazing cook and kept everything spotless. Her doughnuts were always a hit with everyone who stopped by and the Chinese food was never the same unless Grandma made it. She always had a meal fit for a king. She’d go to bingos, picking up her sister and anyone else that needed a ride and off they’d go. The stories from the blueberry picking with Phyllis and Clair were always so much fun! She enjoyed the church fall suppers, spending time with the neighbour ladies. Alice was strong in her Catholic faith and kept the church, yard and cemetery looking its finest. She’d always have the priest over after mass and anyone else who might have time to stop in. In 2022, Alice moved in with her daughter, Bev and son-in-law Gordon. Even though things slowed down she would keep active with many things. She loved to play with the children and always kept her humour. She loved music, especially the guitar and violin and all country classics. She loved when people were laughing, dancing and having a good time. She enjoyed quad rides, sucker fishing and hunting. Alice will be truly missed, but her fun filled
memories will live on in us all.
