Sadly, we announce the passing of Henry Elwood Fredrick Larson at 6:03 am 27 March 2025.

Born in the municipality of Loreburn, Saskatchewan 21 Dec 1937. He was raised on the family farm near Diefenbaker Lake SK. He farmed that land till 2012, first with his father and then with the help of other family members. He was still very involved in the operation of the farm till his last days. Outside of farming, the pipeline industry was his true passion when it came to work, Elwood started with Interprovincial Pipeline as a labourer, this was the start of his work journey. He would be recruited by Rainbow Pipeline (Mobil Oil Canada), then to South Saskatchewan Pipeline, and back to Rainbow Pipeline. Working himself up the ladder retiring as superintendent of Rainbow Pipeline (1995) and a Self Executive of Mobil Oil Canada. Elwood never forgot his beginnings and his employees and peers were a part of his extended family which he loved and respected.

Elwood loved to volunteer in his community and enjoyed the Lions Club. He was a philanthropist raising and donating hundreds of thousands of dollars; creating the Larson family fund that supports 10 Charities annually. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; being a sports lover he was the super-fan to all his grandchildren.

The celebration of life will be in the spring/early summer (TBD); please contact his son Leighton Larson for more details. Donations can be made to the Diabetes Canada in the memory of Elwood Larson.
