Lydia Marie Hewitt, late of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, born August 8, 1926 in Landau, Ukraine, passed away on November 24, 2023 at the age of 97 years. The Rosary will be prayed on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. and Prayers will be said after the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with Father Valentine Amobi presiding. Duane Schultz will give the eulogy. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Honourary Pallbearers will be all of Lydia’s grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral lunch and fellowship will follow at the Wheatland Senior Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lydia may be made to Diabetes Canada at PO Box 1224 STN K, Toronto, ON M4P 9Z9.
