CALGARY β Another onslaught of snow is headed for much of Alberta and western Saskatchewan.
Environment and Climate Change Canada has a snowfall warning out for Calgary, Lethbridge, Edmonton, Moose Jaw, the Battlefords and several other communities in both provinces.
It says the snow is starting in the south and is expected to head north throughout the day and last into Saturday.
The weather agency is calling for as much as 35 centimetres to fall in some parts of eastern Alberta by the time the storm passes.
It says visibility may be suddenly reduced and accumulating snow may make it difficult to navigate highways, roads, walkways and parking lots.
Many areas under the latest warnings have already seen heavy snowfalls in recent days.
