- “Today was unbelievably exciting, it’s our first gold medal. She [Sutherland] is an outstanding athlete and person and deserves that gold medal, more than anybody else!”
- “Savannah is an elite athlete; she has been to the World U20 Championship the last two years in a row representing Canada. She was just in Columbia a month ago, representing Canada in the 400m hurdles and she knows how to put her game face on and pull off an incredible performance. She’s done just that at the Canada Games for Team Sask and we’re all so proud of her.”

- “I’m really proud to represent the province, we’re one of the smaller provinces and this just proves we can go out there and compete with all the bigger ones too. So, I’m really proud of that.”
