Most of Saskatchewan is under an extreme cold warning.

SASKATCHEWN - Extreme cold warnings are covering almost all of Saskatchewan today, but Tuesday promises a break from the deep freeze.

Environment and Climate Change Canada says the wind is making it feel colder than -45 in much of Saskatchewan. School buses have been cancelled in Saskatoon and Regina due to the frigid temperatures.

But take heart. The weather service says the cold snap is expected to end by Tuesday.

Here’s a sampling of tomorrow’s forecasts:

  • -4 Battlefords
  • -2 Saskatoon
  • -3 Regina
  • -5 Lloydminster
  • -2 Moose Jaw
  • -5 Yorkton
  • -3 Estevan

That's more than 20 degrees warmer than most of Monday's temps. Plus, there are some zeros forecast for later in the week.
