Team Sask women's basketball wins silver, Summer Games

The girls battled to the end with Nevaeh Ferrara-Horne (#6) hitting a heated 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in the game.

REGINA - Team Sask is extremely proud of the women’s basketball team, who won silver against Team Alberta in the gold medal game today at the Meridian Centre during the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

The girls battled to the end with Nevaeh Ferrara-Horne (#6) hitting a heated 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in the game. Final score: 71 AB - 60 SK.

  • Sask up at the end of the first quarter, 16-14
  • Sask takes a two-point lead at the half, 35-33
  • Sask grabs a rebound, puts it up and in to take the lead 49-48 at the end of the third quarter
