SASKATCHEWAN - Weather warnings have been issued for much of southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba as the region deals with bone-chilling cold.

Wind-chill values of minus-40 or lower are expected this week, including in Regina, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.

The extreme cold will also affect parts of Alberta and northern Ontario.

Environment Canada is reminding people to cover up because frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill. (The Canadian Press)
