REGINA - The City of Regina is now accepting applications for the 2025 Henry Baker Scholarship Program. This year, 18 scholarships are available to support students in their academic and career pursuits, including 17 scholarships of $2,000 each and one scholarship of $1,000.

Each year, the city awards these scholarships to students who demonstrate academic excellence and a strong dedication to their community. The program provides financial assistance to help students achieve their educational goals while recognizing the important role of Regina’s post-secondary institutions.

“The Henry Baker Scholarship Program is an investment in the future of our community”, says Diana Burton, Director, Recreation and Cultural Services. “It recognizes the hard work and dedication of students in Regina and provides financial support to help them achieve their educational goals.”

To be eligible, applicants must be registered in a full-time academic program at an eligible institution in Regina by the application deadline of May 31, 2025.

Established in 1990 and renamed in 1997 to honour former Mayor Henry Baker, this scholarship program reflects council’s vision of fostering opportunities for young people, as well as its commitment to education and community development. Since 2009, more than $430,000 has been awarded to over 200 students through this program.
