REGINA - Only half the province is still under an extreme cold warning, Unfortunately, Regina is within that half.
Environment Canada is still saying temperatures will begin to moderate by Thursday with a significant warm-up expected starting Friday.
Monday and Tuesday saw daytime temperatures of -30 and wind chills of close to -40, and Wednesday got up to -25. But the wind chill was still -38, and if that isn't insult enough, the cold wind has been blowing snow around as well.
Wednesday night's low is forecast at -27 with wind chills of -38.
Thursday should see a high of -15 and a low of -17, but the wind chills are still significant, forecast at -34 and -42 respectively.
Friday's forecast is still calling for -3. On Monday, Saturday's forecast was for plus 3, but that was changed to -3 on Tuesday. Wednesday, it's adjusted upward again to 0.
Sunday's forecast is now at plus 2 with a chance of flurries. Monday is forecast to be plus 3 and Tuesday for plus 2, both days with a mix of sun and cloud.
