Police investigate following armed robbery at gas station

SASKATOON - Police are looking for a suspect following an armed robbery, last night.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., April 13, patrol officers responded to a robbery at a gas station in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive.

It was reported to police that a lone man entered the business, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded cash. A physical altercation took place when the employee attempted to restrain the suspect. The suspect fled, leaving his sweater, bag and imitation firearm behind. A short time later, the suspect returned to collect his belongings but was threatened by the employee, and again, fled the scene.

A suspect description is not available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
