ESTEVAN - The severe thunderstorm warning for the RMs of Estevan and Coalfields has come to an end.
The warning was issued at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, while a strong thunderstorm was rumbling through the Energy City, bringing heavy rain and even some hail in some areas.
At 3:15 p.m., Environment Canada said its meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel-size hail and heavy rain.
This severe thunderstorm was moving to the east at 30 kilometres per hour.
The warning covered the communities within the RMs of Estevan and Coalfields, including Estevan, Hitchcock, Bienfait, Roche Percee, Frobisher and North Portal.
The warning for the RM of Estevan ended at 3:45 p.m., and the one for the RM of Coalfields was lifted at 4:30 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm watch was lifted Thursday evening, after another thunderstorm rumbled through the Estevan area.
