WEYBURN – The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce held its annual Parade of Lights on Thursday evening.
The streets were lined with hundreds of spectators watching over 55 festively decorated floats going by.
“Our hats go off to all our parade participants. The creativity and hard work that goes into each entry is amazing,” Monica Osborn, executive director of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce, said. “Each year our parade gets better and we thank everyone in attendance.”
Although the judges had a difficult time determining a winner in each category, in the end they made their announcement.
The parade award winners in the two categories are as follows:
1. Business: Nexans Canada Inc;
2. Organization: Weyburn Agriculture Society
The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce is extending a sincere thank you to all organizations, businesses, and community members who entered the parade. Thank you to the City Police, City of Weyburn, Don’s Plumbing & Heating and our judges for their service and coordination.
“This year’s Parade was a great event, as the community pride of our residents continues to be a driving force celebrating Weyburn’s activities and events. It was a lot of fun, and we hope to see you all in next year’s Parade again,” said Osborn.
