Regina guitarist Jack Semple puts some English into his guitar-playing, during his performance on Monday evening with his band in a tribute to the late blues legend, B.B. King. This was the season’s final performance for the Weyburn Concert Series, which saw over 700 fill the Cugnet Centre. He is playing “Rusty”, his Fender Stratocaster, for this song, which he had signed by B.B. King when he did a show in Regina in 1995. Semple first heard King’s music when he was 10 years old, and knew then this was the kind of music he wanted to perform as a guitarist.
