Micah Walbaum of Forget played one of three songs as she competed in the junior category, accompanied on guitar by Gavin Fleck. She won first place in this category, and also placed second in the novelty category along with Fleck, and placed third in the twin fiddling category along with Shoni King. The 14-year-old played against three others in the category at Weyburn’s 18th annual Old-Time Fiddle Contest, held on Saturday afternoon at McKenna Hall.
