Big weekend for taekwondo club members

Several Estevan taekwondo athletes had a very successful weekend in Saskatoon at the GTMA Provincial tournament last weekend. Competing with 110 fellow athletes from Saskatoon, Lampman, Biggar, Prince Albert, Osler and Camrose, Alta.

Several Estevan taekwondo athletes had a very successful weekend in Saskatoon at the GTMA Provincial tournament last weekend. 

Competing with 110 fellow athletes from Saskatoon, Lampman, Biggar, Prince Albert, Osler and Camrose, Alta., many of the Estevan Taekwondo Club members came home with medals in both patterns and sparring. 

In patterns, Dann Pangan, Taya Saigeon and Hunter Wallster each won gold, Sarah Gaignard, Darcy Gunnlaugson, Trinda Jocelyn and Gage Stepp won silver, and Jamison Magnien, Kylan Fichter and Tamara Ash won bronze.

In sparring, Sarah Gaignard, Darcy and Darson Gunnlaugson and Pangan each won gold, while Stepp, Bryn Gaignard and Fichter won silver and Wendy Ridler, Taya Saigeon, Tina Longney and Wallster won bronze.
