A tradition for the Frametech Classic golf tournament happened Sunday afternoon and evening at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course.
The Dave Price Memorial Horse Race started at 3 p.m. and continued into the early evening. It was contested on the back nine, and pitted the golfers from the championship flight of the men’s division in a knockout event.
Nolan Rohatyn won the event by defeating Jay Thiessen on the 18th hole. Rohatyn birdied the 18th, while Thiessen recorded a bogey.Â
The two golfers with the highest scores on the 10th and 11th holes were the first to eliminated. In an unusual twist, all 10 golfers remaining parred the par-4 11th hole, and so all were involved in a chip-off to determine who would advance.
The golfer with the highest score on each subsequent hole was dropped until only Rohatyn was remaining.Â
This year’s other entrants were Grady Brown, Kade Johnson, Daryl Donovan, Cody Reynolds, Cody Balon, Mark Spencer, Anthony Melle, Chase Gedak, Brendon Grube and Jace Carlisle.
A large crowd once again turned out to watch the competition.Â
