Second call for nominations issued for Carlyle town council

CARLYLE - The Town of Carlyle has issued a second call for nominations for town councillor in this year's civic election.

Mayor Jen Sedor has been acclaimed to a second term as mayor, and the five people who filed nomination papers for councillor - John Brownlee, Hugh Hislop, Lauren Hume, Kelly Lutz and Gord Paulley - have also been acclaimed to council. Brownlee, Hislop, Hume and Paulley are incumbents. 

A second call for nominations has been issued to fill the sixth councillor seat. The deadline to file is Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. If more than one person files for councillor, then there would be an election on Nov. 13 involving those who filed during the second call for nominations.

The five individuals who filed for councillor prior to the Oct. 9 deadline have already been declared elected.
