SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - A snowfall warning is in effect for the Carlyle region.
According to the forecast from Environment Canada, snowfall with total amounts of 15-25 centimetres is expected.
"A developing low-pressure system over Montana will spread a large area of heavy snow across southern Saskatchewan on Saturday," states the advisory from Environment Canada.
The advisory states snow will begin Saturday morning near the Alberta border and reach the Manitoba border by late Saturday afternoon. For most areas, accumulating snow will taper off Sunday morning. For east-central areas of the province, the heavy snow will linger into Sunday evening.
"Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow."
Much of Saskatchewan is subjected to a snowfall warning due to the forecasted storm.
