on June 16, 2015. Mickie was
born July 18, 1946 in Macoun,
SK.
It was there that she met her
husband Brian whom with she
would have celebrated 50 years
of marriage this September 18.
Mickie has bravely battled can-
cer over the past 3 1/2 years
with a quiet strength.
She was predeceased by her
parents Clifford and Dorothy
Nelson.
Her gentle and kind spirit will
be lovingly remembered by her
husband Brian, son Darren (An-
gela), grandchildren Noah and
Maya all of Regina, SK, brother
Randy (Diane) Nelson of West
Kelowna, BC, brother in law
Ken (Heather) Tanzell of Moose
Jaw, SK, nephew Jeff, nieces
Tricia, Tonya and Tammy and
their families.
The family extends a special
word of thanks to Dr. Dolatta,
Dr. Kathy Ferguson and the
doctors, nurses and staff of the
Allan Blair Cancer Centre and
Palliative Care Ward at Pasqua
Hospital. And also thank you to
the Treatment Centre.
To honor Mickie’s wishes,
there will be no formal funeral service. In her grandson Noah’s
words, “Don’t be sad, now Grandma will get to see the glory and
beauty of heaven”.
In lieu of flowers we ask if you desire to make a donation to
the Allan Blair Cancer Centre or the Palliative Care Ward, Pas-
qua Hospital in memory of Mickie.
