ESTEVAN - Nineteen teams were at the Power Dodge curling Centre on March 21 and 22 for the Estevan Oilfield Technical Society's (OTS) 65th annual open bonspiel.
Winners were crowned in three different events. Allscott's Tots won the A event, and top spot overall, by defeating Midwest Surveys in the A final. Team members for Allscott were skip Shawn Meyers, third Matt Olson, second Justin Berday and lead Garret Schultz. Allscott Trach was their coach.
It was the second straight year in the final for Allscott's. They lost in the A final in 2024.
In the B event, Lufkin Industries 2 defeated Primec Controls Canada. Team members were skip Malina Stead, third Trinity Massier, second Emma March and lead Arizona Spencer.
In the C event, Candian Plains knocked off Lufkin 1. The team was skipped by Brent Gedak, and also included Ken Wallewein (third), Arlann Dutton (second) and Justin Fieber (lead).
The tournament opened with games on March 21, with a break in the evening for supper. The curling resumed the following morning and continued until the finals in the evening.
The bonspiel was the final event of the season for the Power Dodge Curling Centre.
