WEYBURN — The community of Carlyle has indicated through their town council that they are prepared to add a total of $4.2 million in enhancements to the proposed new public school to be located there. It was addressed during the South East Cornerstone Public School Division’s public meeting on Dec. 18.

The new school is currently in the planning stages and will soon be entering into a design mode, so the enhancement package will be included in the overall design and eventual construction of the new facility.

During the course of the meeting recently re-elected chairwoman Audrey Trombley took a leave of absence for the duration of the meeting from the chair position to enable her to attend to other obligations and the chair position was then assumed by vice-chairwoman Megan Schick, a Weyburn City representative who was voted into that position by her fellow board members at the division’s re-organizational meeting that was held on Nov. 20.
