ESTEVAN - For the first time since 2017, the Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs senior girls' basketball team will host the 5A Rural Girls Regional Playoffs.
The tournament starts at 11:15 a.m. on March 14 at the ECS gymnasium. The ECS senior girls' team, which is the fourth-seeded entry, plays its first game against the No. 5 Yorkton Regional High School Raiders at 2:45 p.m. that day.
"Come and cheer on your local ECS team," coach Jessie Smoliak said in an email to SaskToday.
The final game is scheduled to happen at 5 p.m. on March 15.
Daily admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students in Grades 7-12). Children under 12 get in for free.
The top two teams from regionals will advance to the provincial Hoopla tournament.
Two teams from Prince Albert, and individual squads from Swift Current, Prince Albert, North Battleford, Moose Jaw, Weyburn, Lloydminster and Balgonie are also scheduled to be in Estevan for playdowns.
