ESTEVAN — Early this year, Elks of Canada presented a cheque to the Loewen family after they lost their home in Macoun to a devastating fire on Dec. 8.
Participating in the presentation at the Estevan fire department were, from left, Darrin Stephen, Elks of Canada Grand Lodge Esquire and Cody and Chantelle Loewen with their daughters Kensley and Brexley.
The Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children is the Elks of Canada’s national charity.
The fund is set up to assist families with children 18 years of age and under.
Assistance for fires is just one of the many assists that the fund is set up to do.
