ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service is reminding the public about the need to drive safely in residential areas.

The EPS said it received a report Friday of vehicles disobeying the stop sign at the corner of 16th Avenue and Second Street. The police went on to say the increased traffic, which is a result of the Fourth Street construction, has made this and other surrounding intersections very busy, resulting in these reports.

The public is reminded to obey all traffic signs and signals. The fines for these and related offences are significant.

The EPS also received several reports of suspicious people in central Estevan. The public is reminded to be vigilant in keeping buildings locked and to continue to report any suspicious people or activities.
