Estevan Bears drop two straight in Tisdale

ESTEVAN - The Estevan Great North U18 AAA Bears went 0-2 during their weekend games at the Tisdale Trojans.

Estevan lost 6-2 on Saturday night. Tisdale scored twice in each of the first and second periods for a 4-0 lead before Gunner Moore tallied for Estevan. Tisdale added two more in the third, and Roan Burgess scored late in the third for Estevan to round out the scoring.

Cole Ivey had 28 saves for Estevan.

The following day, the Bears lost 5-4. Kobe Wotta scored twice and Cooper Flath also scored in the opening 5:13 of the game to give Estevan a 3-0 lead, but the Trojans scored once before the period was out, and added four in the second for a 5-3 advantage through two.

Moore scored in the third for Estevan.

Wotta assisted on one of the goals and Cameron Allard added three helpers, giving each a three-point game.

Brady Carr stopped 21 shots for Estevan.

Estevan (9-9-2) will visit the Yorkton Maulers on Dec. 4, and will host the Swift Current Legionnaires on Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.
