ESTEVAN — The Estevan Fire Rescue Service members were called to a snowmobile accident on Jan. 11.

The call for service came in at about 10 p.m. The snowmobile accident occurred west of Estevan. Estevan Deputy Fire Chief Kyle Luc said that once on scene, it was determined that the fire department's assistance was not required, so all units returned to the station and were back in service.

No further information was immediately available.

Earlier last week, fire crews were also called to a commercial fire alarm. The call came in on Jan. 9 at about 8 p.m. from a commercial property in the northwest part of the city. Upon arrival, the duty officer determined that a pull station had been activated. The responding crews were stood down, and the duty officer, along with the maintenance crews, reset the alarm without incident.
