Man who briefly escaped custody in Estevan was back in court

ESTEVAN - A man who is accused of escaping from lawful custody in Estevan in mid-September was back in Estevan Provincial Court on Nov. 18.

Tyler Mark Wyatt made a video appearance. The matter was adjourned to Dec. 2 so that Wyatt can have further discussions with his  attorney.

Wyatt will remain in custody.

Background: Wyatt is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime and resisting a police officer, related to an incident in Bienfait on Sept. 11, and one count each of escaping lawful custody, resisting a police officer and breaking and entering with intent, stemming from an escape from police custody on Sept. 13. He was at St. Joseph's Hospital at the time of his escape.

Pleasantdale School, Westview School and Sacred Heart School/École Sacré Coeur all went into hold and secure during his brief escape.

The charges have not been proven in court.
