Many people turned out to see the wide variety of floats in the parade.

BIENFAIT - The annual Canada Day parade in Bienfait was once again a large attraction.

People from Estevan and other southeast Saskatchewan communities flocked to the community for the parade, and for other activities happening on July 1. A long lineup of vehicles was seen entering the town on Highways 39 and 18.

The parade featured a variety of floats and vehicles from businesses, organizations and others looking to wish Canada a happy 157th birthday. Some people opted to ride horses during the parade.

Many people lined the parade route. Children eagerly waited for candy and other items tossed by parade participants.

Activities have been happening in Bienfait throughout the day. The annual fireworks spectacular is slated to happen at dusk.
